Interim Finance Business Partner

Offering a professional and collaborative working environment, the organisation has built an excellent reputation within its sector and provides a range of attractive benefits, including flexible and hybrid working arrangements.Your new roleDue to maternity leave, our client is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their finance team on a long-term contract through to October 2027. Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will act as a trusted business partner to a range of senior stakeholders, including Directors. You will provide financial insight, challenge and support to help drive informed decision-making across the organisation.Key responsibilities will include:

• Building strong relationships with senior budget holders and directors
\n
• Leading monthly forecasting activities and supporting cashflow forecasting
\n
• Meeting regularly with stakeholders to review financial performance and projected outturns
\n
• Identifying financial risks and opportunities and ensuring appropriate action is taken
\n
• Preparing and presenting month-end financial reports
\n
• Managing actuals, accruals and prepayments within the month-end process
\n
• Supporting budget readiness and change requests where required
\n
• Analysing financial data and translating complex information into clear business recommendations
\n
• Working with SUN financial systems, Excel reporting tools and the organisation's P2P system
\n

This role offers a hybrid working pattern, with two days per week in the Manchester City Centre office and three days working from home.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Previous experience operating in a Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner role
\n
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders
\n
• Experience delivering budgeting, forecasting and month-end processes
\n
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to different audiences
\n
• A proactive approach to identifying and managing financial risks and opportunities
\n
• Strong Excel skills and financial analysis capability
\n
• Experience within the public sector, wider public sector, not-for-profit or regulated environments would be highly advantageous
\n
• Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience (QBE) candidates will all be considered
\n
