Accounts Assistant

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to be involved in a broad range of finance and administration duties. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business.Key Responsibilities\n

• Processing subcontractor applications and invoices, ensuring accurate records and timely payments
\n
• Raising and posting sales invoices
\n
• Processing company credit card transactions and employee expenses
\n
• Assisting with banking activities and reconciliations
\n
• Carrying out daily accounting tasks using Sage 200
\n
• Managing a busy shared finance inbox and responding to queries
\n
• Assisting with payroll-related and labour wage queries
\n
• Producing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets, including the use of VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
\n
• Supporting the wider finance team with general accounts and administrative duties
\n

The Ideal Candidate\n

\n
• Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar accounting role
\n
• Experience using Sage 200 or comparable accounting software
\n
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
\n
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
\n
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
\n
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and support different areas of the business
\n

• Access to your own vehicle due to the location of the office
\n
• Availability to start at short notice would be advantageous
\n
