Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established UK manufacturer looking for an experienced Manufacturing Team Leader to join their operations team, based in Derby.

Reporting into the operations Manager, you'll play a key role in motivating your team, maintaining operational discipline and ensuring products meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Team Leader include:

• Lead, coach and develop a team of manufacturing operatives
\n
• Monitor production schedules and implement recovery plans where required
\n
• Complete production audits, ensuring all production areas are fully equipped with materials
\n
• Deliver on-the-job training and support operator development
\n
• Drive high standards of Health & Safety and promote a positive safety first culture
\n
• Complete daily process compliance checks and maintain production documentation
\n
• Manage attendance, performance reviews and employee development
\n
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process updates
\n
• Work collaboratively with production planning and other departments to achieve business objectives
\n

We’re keen to speak with experienced Manufacturing Leaders with the below skills & experience:

\n
• Previous leadership experience within medium to high-volume manufacturing
\n
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate others
\n
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience using ERP/MRP systems
\n
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
\n
• A proactive, organised and hands-on approach
\n
• Experience within regulated manufacturing such as engineering, chemical processing, defence, automotive or similar would be advantageous
\n
• Lean Manufacturing and/or IOSH qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential
\n

Please be aware this role is physically demanding covering a large site, and working outdoors.
