North Lanarkshire Properties LLP (NLP) is embarking on an ambitious transformation programme as part of our 2026–2031 Business Plan, focused on improving customer experience, strengthening business performance, supporting economic growth across North Lanarkshire and creating a modern, resilient organisation. As we continue to evolve and enhance our operating model, we are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Debtor Officer to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the financial sustainability of an organisation with a portfolio of almost 1,000 commercial properties, supporting local businesses, communities and regeneration across North Lanarkshire.

The Role

\n

As a Debtor Officer supporting Income and Accounts Recovery, you will be responsible for proactively recovering rental and property-related income, reducing arrears and supporting the financial sustainability of North Lanarkshire Properties LLP.

\n

Working closely with surveyors, technical officers and colleagues from the Council’s finance and legal services, you will help ensure outstanding accounts are managed effectively, contributing to the organisation's objectives around income generation, customer engagement and financial resilience.

About You

\n

We are looking for someone who combines strong financial administration skills with excellent customer service and communication abilities. You will hold a SVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent and have experience working within a debt recovery, debtors, finance or income collection environment.

\n

Work pattern:

\n

35 hours per week - Monday - Thursday: 08:45 - 16:45 (including a 55 minute unpaid break)

\n

Friday: 08:45 - 16:15 (including a 50 minute unpaid break)

\n

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
