About The Role

We are seeking passionate individuals to fill sessional, temporary, and permanent opportunities across a range of engineering disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Fabrication & Welding, and General Engineering.

As an Engineering Lecturer, you will pay a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students studying engineering programmes in Further Education. You will inspire learners through engaging theoretical and practical lessons, helping them develop technical knowledge, hands-on skills and professional behaviours required to succeed in the engineering industry

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging engineering lessons that meet curriculum and awarding body requirements
\n
• Teach both theoretical concepts and practical engineering skills in workshops and classrooms
\n
• Assess learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
\n
• Prepare students for employment, apprenticeships or progression to higher education
\n
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment and learner achievements
\n
• Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
\n
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and learner outcomes
\n

Essential requirements

\n
• Level 3 qualification (or above) in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or related field)
\n
• Relevant industry experience within engineering
\n
• A recognised teaching qualification
\n
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
\n
• Passion for supporting and developing learners
\n
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
\n

Desirable

\n
• Experience teaching in Further Education or apprenticeships
\n
• Knowledge of current engineering standards, legislation and industry developments
\n
• Experience with specialist engineering technologies
\n
