We are working with a well-established manufacturing and logistics company in Poole who are looking for a Manufacturing Operative, Production Operative, Assembler, or Packer to join their growing team. This is a permanent position with a supportive local business where your woodworking and assembly skills will be valued.

About the Role

You will play a key role in the production process, focusing on the manufacture, production and packing of high-quality wooden cases and crates for customers. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assembling and packing wooden cases and crates accurately and efficiently
\n
• Using hand and power tools to cut, shape, and prepare wooden components
\n
• Shrink wrapping, palletising, and boxing products for dispatch
\n
• Operating mechanical handling equipment for loading and unloading
\n
• Maintaining workshop cleanliness and supporting general maintenance
\n
• Occasionally assisting with deliveries and collections
\n
• Supporting the Production Manager with daily production tasks
\n

Skills & Experience

Essential:

\n
• Practical experience using hand or power tools, machinery, or workshop equipment
\n
• Experience working with wood, timber, or wooden assemblies
\n
• Comfortable in a manufacturing, assembly, or warehouse environment
\n
• Full UK Driving Licence (manual)
\n

Desirable:

\n
• Previous experience as a production operative, packing operative, assembler, or case maker
\n
• Forklift licence (counterbalance)
\n
