\nWe are delighted to be supporting the appointment of a driven Business Development Manager to support growth across the South West of England.
\nThis is a customer-facing, field-based role focused on developing new business and growing existing accounts across the Foodservice Wholesale and Vending sectors.
\nWhat you’ll do
\n- \n
- Drive sales growth and increase gross profit across your territory \n
- Win new business and expand relationships within Foodservice and Vending customers \n
- Manage and retain existing customer accounts, ensuring long-term partnership value \n
- Identify and convert new opportunities through proactive, needs-based selling \n
- Maximise sales opportunities through understanding customer requirements and trends \n
- Maintain strong knowledge of product ranges across drinks, snacks, and consumables \n
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to stay commercially competitive \n
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to deliver value to customers \n
- Manage territory activity, including regular travel and customer visits \n
What we’re looking for
\n- \n
- Proven experience in a field-based sales or Business Development role (5+ years) \n
- Experience within Foodservice, wholesale or FMCG environments (desirable) \n
- Track record of delivering profitable sales growth \n
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret and act on financial data \n
- Tenacious, driven, and proactive approach to winning and growing business \n
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage business owners \n
- Down-to-earth, persuasive, and customer-focused approach \n
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and stay away regularly \n
