We are looking for Support Worker and Senior Support Workers for our Solo Unit home supporting 8-18s with EBD SEMH and challenging behaviour.

\n

Senior Support Worker salary

\n

\n

Senior Support Workers £15.50 per hour + £70 per sleep (must be qualified and a driver)

\n

You will be expected to sleep in after some of your shifts

\n

\n

Support Worker Salary

\n

\n

£14 per hour inexperience

\n

£14.50 per hour experienced

\n

£15 per hour qualified

\n

Sleeps £70

\n

\n

Senior Support Worker Duties include

\n

• Supporting and managing the staff team to meet the needs of the young person

\n

• Planning each shift and ensuring resources are allocated appropriately

\n

• Working with external professionals to deliver positive outcomes

\n

• Providing supervision and support to staff in line with Quality Standards

\n

• Supporting the young person to engage in education

\n

• Ensuring their health needs are met

\n

• Providing advice, support and guidance

\n

• Managing complex behaviours and crisis intervention

\n

• Administering and recording medication

\n

• Maintaining daily records and administrative work

\n

• Contributing to the care planning process

\n

• Liaising with external stakeholders and our multidisciplinary team

\n

• Attending mandatory training

\n

• Engaging in team meetings

\n

• Maintaining the home (laundry, cleaning, shopping, cooking, etc.)

\n

\n

Senior Support Worker Requirements

\n

Please note applicants MUST meet the following requirements;

\n

\n
• Able to work Full time
\n
• A full UK driving license ( preferred )
\n
• Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
\n
• An understanding that this role will require that you undertake Enhanced DBS checks
\n
• You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins with full-time and part-time hours being available.
\n
• Experience working and supporting 6-18 year old with EBD, challenging behaviour and complex care.
\n
• You will have some experience supporting children or young people with EBD.
\n
• Seniors MUST have NVQ level 3 Children Residential plus 2 years Support Work experience(Children's)
\n

Support Worker requirements

\n

\n
• Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification is desirable; however training will be available.
\n
• Experience of supporting vulnerable young people within a residential care environment, or similar youth worker experience.
\n
• You will be compassionate, resilient, committed to being a positive role model and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
\n
• Flexible and able to work a residential care rota which includes evening, weekends and holiday periods and sleep ins.
\n
• Have supported children with EBD and complex needs
\n
• Hold a valid UK driving licence.(essential)
\n
