\n\nThis role focuses on:-
\n- \n
- Producing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts \n
- Supporting funding, reporting, and financial control processes \n
- Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness \n
- Working closely with Finance leadership and operational teams \n
It’s a hands-on, analytical role with strong collaboration across departments, especially fundraising.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nFinancial Reporting & Analysis
\n- \n
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports \n
- Analyse budget vs actuals and explain variances \n
- Provide insightful financial commentary to leadership \n
- \n
- Develop and track budgets and forecasts \n
- Support funding monitoring and financial planning \n
- \n
- Invoice funders according to grant agreements \n
- Track funding changes and support implementation \n
- Ensure Gift Aid and tax claims are accurate and timely \n
- \n
- Perform reconciliations (bank, VAT, payroll, suppliers) \n
- Support audits and ISO compliance \n
- Maintain financial policies and procedures \n
- \n
- Maintain asset register and monitor procurement \n
- Oversee purchase/sales ledger and supplier reconciliations \n
- Identify and implement process improvements \n
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:\n- \n
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) \n
- ~2+ years post-qualified experience \n
- Strong management accounts and budgeting experience \n
- Good understanding of VAT \n
- Advanced Excel / Microsoft Office skills \n
- \n
- Experience with Xero \n
- Charity sector experience \n
- Payroll knowledge \n
