\nAbout the Opportunity
\nWe are working with a leading UK real estate developer and asset manager seeking a talented Fund Accountant to join its growing finance team.
\nThe business has an extensive portfolio of commercial and industrial property assets across the UK, with a significant pipeline of development projects and investment properties under management. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, highly successful organisation operating at scale within the real estate sector.
\nThe successful candidate will work closely with finance, development and asset management teams, providing end-to-end accounting and financial support across a range of third-party investment and development structures. The role offers broad exposure to financial reporting, fund accounting, property accounting and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities
\nFinancial & Statutory Reporting
\n- \n
- Prepare periodic management accounts and related management information. \n
- Produce annual statutory financial statements using accounts preparation software. \n
- Manage external audit processes. \n
- Prepare consolidated lender reports. \n
- Produce bank covenant reporting and compliance confirmations. \n
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations. \n
- Reconcile intercompany balances across multiple entities. \n
- Support VAT and CIS compliance requirements, including registrations where required. \n
Property Accounting

- Review and process reports received from external property managers. \n
- Generate and post property-related accounting journals. \n
- Maintain tenancy schedules and rent deposit records. \n
- Prepare service charge reconciliations. \n
- Review and support payment runs alongside the Accounts Payable team. \n
- Assist with cashflow management activities. \n
- Support acquisitions, disposals and financial due diligence exercises. \n
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and property-related initiatives. \n
About You
\nWe are looking for a motivated accountant with strong technical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
\nEssential Experience & Skills
\n- \n
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA finalist, newly qualified or fully qualified accountant. \n
- Experience preparing statutory accounts. \n
- Strong knowledge of FRS102 and UK statutory reporting requirements. \n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. \n
- Strong Excel capability. \n
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. \n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. \n
- Collaborative team player with a flexible approach. \n
Desirable Experience
\n- \n
- Experience of Oracle NetSuite or a comparable accounting system. \n
- Exposure to real estate fund structures, including REITs, QAHCs and LP/GP arrangements. \n
- Property accounting experience, including service charges and investment property accounting. \n
- Ability to work effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. \n
