Salary circa £40,000 to £50,000, depending on experience

Keeler Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a well established and growing business in the recruitment of a Company Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of a standalone finance function, working closely with the Directors to deliver accurate financial reporting, maintain strong financial controls and provide commercial insight to support business decisions.

The role

This is a broad and varied position, offering responsibility for the day to day finance function through to monthly reporting, cashflow management and forecasting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
\n
• Managing daily cashflow, banking and cashflow forecasting
\n
• Processing monthly payroll and VAT returns
\n
• Maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers
\n
• Managing month end processes and financial controls
\n
• Overseeing credit control and monitoring aged debt
\n
• Managing inventory accounting and stock valuations
\n
• Preparing budgets, forecasts and financial analysis
\n
• Liaising with external accountants and supporting the year end process
\n
• Identifying opportunities to improve finance systems and processes
\n

About you

\n
• AAT qualified, part qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or qualified by experience
\n
• Previous experience in a standalone finance role or similar
\n
• Strong knowledge of management accounts, payroll, VAT and cashflow management
\n
• Experience using Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll would be advantageous
\n
• Able to work independently with excellent attention to detail
\n
