Job Description
Our client, Solihull Council, is seeking an agency Social Worker for its Separated Children and Young People Service.
\n\nThis post will last 3-4 months initially paid at MOU rates.

\n\nThe role will involve the following:
\n- \n
- The team focuses specifically on young people who arrived in the UK as unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) and are looked after by the local authority \n
- Undertake assessments in line with the “Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families”. \n
- Carry out regular reviews of individual plans, record outcomes and formulate plans based on those reviews. \n
- Provide detailed reports for statutory reviews, child protection conferences, panels and courts as required. \n
- Experience of undertaking Age Assessments is an added advantage. \n
Requirements of the role:
\n- \n
- Qualified Social Worker \n
- Fully Social Work England registered \n
- 3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules) \n
- Strong experience in children’s social care and working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) if possible \n
- Experience of undertaking Age Assessments is an added advantage \n
