Estimator | Exeter | Temp-to-PermLocation: ExeterJob Type: Temp-to-PermSalary: £45,000–£60,000 DOE + BenefitsSector: Construction / InfrastructureWe're recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor for an experienced Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team based in Exeter.This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator from any construction, civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure background to join a business with a strong pipeline of work and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.The RoleAs Estimator, you'll play a key role in the tendering process, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of projects. Working closely with the commercial and operational teams, you'll help secure new business while ensuring tenders are commercially viable and delivered to a high standard.This is a varied position that offers exposure to a wide range of projects and genuine opportunities for career development.Key Responsibilities\n

- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions. \n
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation. \n
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. \n
- Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering options. \n
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders. \n
- Assist with pricing variations and commercial proposals. \n
- Ensure estimates are completed accurately and submitted within deadlines. \n
- Support the handover of successful tenders to the delivery team. \n

- Previous experience as an Estimator or Assistant Estimator. \n
- Experience within construction, civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, M&E or a related sector. \n
- Strong understanding of estimating principles and cost planning. \n
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. \n
- Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills. \n
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software. \n
- Full UK driving licence. \n
