Young People Support Worker

Bright Young Futures is a residential care provider supporting children and young people aged 8–17. We currently operate a well-established home in the Ilford area and are proud to be expanding with a newly registered home.

We are currently looking for a Young People's Support Worker to work in the Ilford area. This role provides immense job satisfaction, working alongside a range of professionals and directly creating positive outcomes for the people you'll support

Full-time, shift-based role on a rolling rota (Mon–Sun)

• Day shifts: 8:00am – 8:30pm
\n
• Waking Night shifts: 8:00pm – 8:30am
\n

\n
• Minimum 1 year’s experience working with young people (ages 8–17) in a care, support, youth work, or education setting
\n
• Proven ability to engage, support, and build positive relationships.
\n
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
\n
• Ability to advocate for young people and support their emotional and behavioural development
\n
• Reliable, professional, and committed to safeguarding practices
\n

\n
• Experience in residential care with young people or adolescents
\n
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
\n
• Understanding of challenging behaviour, trauma-informed care, or youth development
\n
• Experience with Ofsted
\n

• Support young people with daily routines, independence, and personal development
\n
• Build trusting, professional relationships, acting as a positive role model
\n
• Promote education, life skills, and positive behaviour
\n
• Work collaboratively with social workers, families, and other professionals
\n
• Contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and individual development goals
\n
• Maintain a safe, clean, and structured home environment
\n
• Complete accurate records and reports
\n
• Make informed decisions to safeguard and support.
\n
• Work as part of a team delivering consistent, high-quality care focused on young person's needs
\n
