Key Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Plan, execute and supervise audits for corporate, charitable and public-sector clients. \n
- Lead and coach audit teams, providing performance feedback and professional development. \n
- Maintain primary client contact for audit engagements, ensuring strong relationships and satisfaction. \n
- Deliver audits on time, within budget, and in line with UK GAAP, IFRS and ISA standards. \n
- Review and sign off audit work-papers, reports and recommendations. \n
- Identify significant audit findings, assess risks and present actionable recommendations to senior management. \n
- Contribute to business development by preparing proposals and delivering client presentations. \n
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes, industry best practices and emerging risks. \n
- Participate in internal quality control reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. \n
Essential Qualifications
\n- \n
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification. \n
- Current practising certificate (if required). \n
- Full membership of a recognised professional body (e.g., ICAEW, ACCA). \n
- In-depth knowledge of UK auditing standards (ISA), UK GAAP and IFRS. \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. \n
- Proficiency with audit software (e.g., IDEA, CaseWare) and MS Office Suite. \n
Desired Experience
\n- \n
- 5–7 years of audit experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity. \n
- Proven track record of leading audit engagements for a diverse client base. \n
- Experience within a mid-size or boutique accountancy firm is preferred. \n
- Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and cross-sell services. \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. \n
