Warehouse Section Leader - Bradford

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Section Leader to join our well-established client on a permanent basis based in Bradford, West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity offering a salary of up to £37,000 per annum, flexible shift patterns and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Warehouse Team Leader, Warehouse Supervisor, Distribution Supervisor, Shift Manager, Logistics Team Leader or Warehouse Operations Supervisor.

Shifts

\n

Flexible shift pattern covering working 40 hours per week :

\n
    \n
  • 06:00 – 14:00
  • \n
  • 14:00 – 22:00
  • \n
  • 11:00 – 19:00 during off-peak periods
  • \n
\n

For the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to work a permanent 08:00 – 16:00 shift.

\n

Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Day-to-Day Duties

\n

As a Warehouse Section Leader, your duties will include:

\n
    \n
  • Leading, motivating and developing a team within a busy warehouse operation
  • \n
  • Creating a positive, inclusive and high-performing working environment
  • \n
  • Driving team performance to achieve operational targets and customer service levels
  • \n
  • Allocating workloads to ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time
  • \n
  • Monitoring KPIs and using performance data to drive continuous improvement
  • \n
  • Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and warehouse processes
  • \n
  • Coaching and developing colleagues to maximise individual and team performance
  • \n
  • Ensuring Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed at all times
  • \n
  • Investigating operational challenges and implementing sustainable solutions
  • \n
  • Supporting reporting, performance analysis and departmental improvements
  • \n
\n

Essential Skills

\n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience leading teams within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment
  • \n
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • \n
  • Experience achieving operational KPIs and service levels
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • \n
  • A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement
  • \n
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and warehouse systems
  • \n
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the confidence to make decisions
  • \n
  • Flexibility to work across rotating shift patterns
  • \n

Desirable Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

\n
    \n
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or SAP
  • \n
  • Lean methodologies or Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • \n
  • Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) procedures
  • \n
  • Process improvement, productivity and operational efficiency projects
  • \n

  • Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
