Maintenance Multiskilled Engineer

- Annual Salary: £40,000 to £43,000 \n
- Location: Newmarket \n
- Shift Pattern: Double Days (Early and lates with early finish on a Friday) \n
Join our team as a strong electrically bias multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer based at our factory in Newmarket. This role is crucial for keeping our company’s assets, including machinery and property, in optimal condition to ensure efficient and cost-effective production of quality packaging. You will also work at our other sites as needed.
\nDay-to-day of the role:
\n- \n
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs to machinery to minimise downtime and maximise uptime. \n
- Respond to reactive maintenance needs, attending to breakdowns and unplanned stoppages. \n
- Manage building maintenance issues as they arise. \n
- Work under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager and Facilities Director to communicate with machine operators, fit parts, fault find and offer solutions to problems. \n
- Maintain adherence to the company’s preventative maintenance schedule. \n
- Uphold excellent housekeeping procedures. \n
- Follow all Health and Safety guidelines and policies. \n
- Engage in hands-on fitting, assembly, welding, fabrication, brazing, soldering, and sheet metalwork. \n
- Support environmental and quality awareness in line with our BRC/ISO accreditations. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Electrical Maintenance Engineer qualification - Level 3 minimum. \n
- Electrical Installations (18th Edition) qualification is advantageous. \n
- Experience with single phase and 3-phase power supplies. \n
- Proficient in various mechanical and electrical repair techniques. \n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. \n
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities. \n
