\nDue to business growth, we’re looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join a dynamic and collaborative team. You’ll work closely with experienced colleagues and report into the Finance Director, building your experience across both direct and indirect procurement.
\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
\nWhat You’ll Be Doing

Managing a shared purchasing inbox
\n - \n
Raising and processing purchase orders (POs)
\n - \n
Monitoring supplier deliveries and chasing updates
\n - \n
Building strong relationships through supplier communication
\n - \n
Supporting stock investigations and resolving discrepancies
\n - \n
Managing indirect procurement (e.g. PPE, IT supplies, office consumables)
\n - \n
Producing and maintaining KPI reports
\n - \n
Working extensively with Excel spreadsheets and internal systems
\n
What We’re Looking For
\n- \n

1–2 years’ experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain
\n - \n
Ideally experience within manufacturing or engineering
\n - \n
Confident using Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs essential – tested at interview)
\n - \n
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus)
\n - \n
Strong communicator with the ability to liaise across departments
\n - \n
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
\n - \n
Experience reviewing engineering drawings is desirable but not essential
\n

£26,000 – £29,000 basic salary

£3,000 bonus paid quarterly (based on company performance)
