JMB33 - CoachbuilderLocation: NorwichSalary: £20.12 per hour + weekend and unsociable hours premiumsBenefits: £2,000 Joining Bonus, Technical Training & Career ProgressionOverview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Coachbuilder on behalf of one of our clients.This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy engineering team responsible for maintaining and repairing a modern fleet of vehicles. The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of coachbuilding, accident repair, bodywork, and interior refurbishment tasks, ensuring vehicles are returned to service safely and to a high standard.Our client offers ongoing technical training, career progression, and provides all necessary PPE and basic tools to support your success.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out accident damage repairs and diagnose bodywork faults.
  • \n
  • Perform collision and vandalism repairs, including window replacement, panel repairs, and fibreglass work.
  • \n
  • Complete interior repairs, including seating, flooring, and air-operated door systems.
  • \n
  • Prepare vehicles for paint and carry out minor paint repairs and touch-ups.
  • \n
  • Rectify defects identified during routine inspections.
  • \n
  • Accurately document repair work for third-party insurance claims.
  • \n
  • Ensure all repairs are completed safely and to a high standard.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
  • \n

Skills and Qualifications:

    \n
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Coachbuilding, Vehicle Body Repair, or a related discipline.
  • \n
  • Proven experience in coachbuilding or vehicle body repair.
  • \n
  • Welding experience is essential.
  • \n
  • Experience in vehicle accident repair and painting, ideally within PSV or HGV environments.
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a busy engineering team.
  • \n
  • Ex-military personnel with relevant engineering or vehicle maintenance experience are encouraged to apply.
