Client Manager - Independent Accounting Firm Banbury, Oxfordshire (Hybrid) £55,000 - £70,000 DOE Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a highly regarded independent accountancy practice in the recruitment of a Client Manager | Accounts & Advisory Manager (Rural Services). This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualified professional to join a specialist rural services team, managing a diverse portfolio of landed estates, farms, rural businesses, and equine clients. The role offers a blend of compliance, tax advisory and client relationship management, with the opportunity to become a trusted adviser while developing both the client portfolio and the wider team. Key Responsibilities

- Manage a portfolio of rural clients, delivering accounts, VAT, self-assessment and tax advisory services \n
- Prepare and review statutory accounts and tax computations, ensuring technical accuracy \n
- Provide bespoke tax advice across Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, Trusts & Estates and VAT \n
- Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted adviser on commercial and tax matters \n
- Review work, mentor junior staff and support the development of the wider team \n
- Manage workflow, WIP, billing and client deadlines \n
- Identify business development opportunities and support the continued growth of the rural services team \n
- Work collaboratively with Partners and other service lines on complex client matters \n
Key Requirements
\n- \n
- ACA/ACCA qualified (CTA qualified is highly beneficial) \n
- Experience managing a portfolio within a UK accountancy practice \n
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102 and FRS 105), VAT and personal tax \n
- Exposure to tax advisory work, including CGT, IHT and Income Tax planning \n
- Excellent client-facing, communication and relationship management skills \n
- Commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities \n
- Experience working with rural clients would be advantageous \n
