Children's Residential Support Worker

Agency Support Workers Required – Children’s Residential Homes

WCB are looking for experienced and flexible Agency Support Workers to support children and young people within residential children’s homes.

The homes support children and young people who may have EBD, learning disabilities, autism, trauma-related needs and challenging behaviours. You will be expected to provide safe, consistent and child-centred support across a variety of settings.

Pay rate: From £14.85 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay

Role includes:

Supporting children and young people in residential homes

Promoting routines, boundaries and positive relationships

Supporting with daily living, activities and emotional wellbeing

Recording daily notes, incidents and handovers accurately

Working as part of a team to keep children safe

Following care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures

Shifts available:

Day shifts

Long days

Sleep-ins

Waking nights

Ad hoc shifts

Flexible working available

Requirements:

Experience working with children and young people

Experience with EBD, autism, learning disabilities or challenging behaviour is desirable

Enhanced DBS or willing to apply

Safeguarding knowledge

Reliable, flexible and professional

Driver preferred but not essential
