Class 2 Multidrop Driver – Ongoing Work

Location: Southampton

Pay Rate: £16.30 per hour

Start Times: Between 5:00am and 7:00am

Average Shift: Approximately 10 hours

We are recruiting Class 2 Drivers for ongoing multidrop delivery work based in Southampton.

The role involves delivering alcohol to commercial customers across a planned route. Drivers will work alongside a Driver’s Mate, who will assist with deliveries, unloading and customer interaction.

This is a physically active role involving regular manual handling, so applicants must be comfortable lifting and moving cases and kegs throughout the shift.

Main Duties

• Completing multidrop deliveries to licensed premises and commercial customers
\n
• Driving a Class 2 rigid vehicle safely and professionally
\n
• Working alongside a Driver’s Mate
\n
• Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries
\n
• Handling alcohol products, including cases and kegs
\n
• Completing delivery paperwork and using handheld devices where required
\n
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
\n
• Providing a professional service to customers
\n
• Following all driver-hours, working-time and road-safety regulations
\n

Driver Requirements

\n
• Valid UK Category C / Class 2 driving licence
\n
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
\n
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
\n
• Maximum of six penalty points
\n
• No DR or IN conviction codes
\n
• Comfortable with multidrop work and manual handling
\n
• Reliable, punctual and customer focused
\n

Newly qualified Class 2 Drivers are welcome to apply, provided they meet the licence and compliance requirements.

Successful applicants will be required to attend a 7:00am induction before starting the assignment. Induction dates can be arranged around driver availability.
