\nWhat the role actually looks like
\nThis isn’t sitting behind a desk analysing case studies.
\nIt’s hands-on experience supporting children and young people with:
\n• SEMH needs• Autism and ADHD• Behavioural challenges• Trauma-informed support• Additional learning needs
\nYou’ll work in specialist schools, SEND settings, and alternative provisions, helping students regulate emotions, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with learning.
\nThe day-to-day?
\nBuilding trust with students who need consistency Supporting emotional regulation and communication Using psychology in real, practical situations Becoming the reason a student feels safe, seen, and supported
