Management Accountantup to £55kMaidstone area / KentMust be CIMA or ACCA FinalistOnsite ParkingHybrid / 4 days in the officeI am recruiting for an absolutely fantastic role, suitable for a Management Accountant that is looking to step into a Junior Finance Manager role. This role is reporting to the Head of Finance and supervising a team of 5 (AR/AP). The role will suit someone who is looking to gain exposure, be offered the opportunity to develop professionally and personally.This is a fast paced environment which can be pressured at times so therefore we need someone who is highly organised, has an excellent work ethic, self sufficient and the willingness and drive to learn and grow. You will be solutions focussed and someone who can comfortably work off their own initiative.Responsibilities will include:Manage daily financial operations, overseeing AP & AR functionsHolding monthly ledger review meetingsLead month-end and year-end close processesPreparing and posting of standard monthly journals and recurring journals for prepayments and accruals Support Financial Accountant in cashflow forecastingStandard costs/ sales & margin analysisCustomer analysis and profitabilityMaintenance of reporting ensuring validity/accuracy with IT Assistance in creation of MI Pack & Board packFacilitate and assist Production and IT with Standards updateAssisting with audit queries Bank Payment authorisationsManagement of team of 3 direct reports, 2 indirect reportsBi-weekly, Monthly and annual ONS surveysChristmas Club management Stock valuation and analysisExpenses journal posting and reconciliation Working with departmental heads developing and maintaining financial reportsReview all spreadsheets for improvements; efficiencies and accuracy (for example a new Purchase Index report, or the profitability report created recently) Responsibility for integration/understanding of the Accounts Function with Factory, IT, Marketing and Sales OfficeDevelopment of our Product & Profitability reporting and other Financial ModellingDeveloping relationships with other departments and assisting with moving budget responsibility from HoF to individuals/departmentsHelping to Integrate Sage with other software possible ERPResponsibility with Financial Accountant for annual audit preparation and closureCandidate Specification:CIMA or ACCA Finalist, or at least only having around 4 exams remainingPrevious experience as a Management accountant doing prepayments, accruals, journal postings and familiar with Fixed assets registerAble to work off your own initiative, whilst you will have support you do need to be someone who can 'find the solution' and be naturally inquisitiveAbility to work in a fast paced and sometimes pressurised environment Previous supervisory experience is desirable as it would be a distinct advantage
