About the Role

As a Ramp & Baggage Agent, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely handling of baggage, cargo, and aircraft turnaround operations. Your contribution will help ensure a smooth and positive experience for passengers while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the loading and unloading of baggage from aircraft, ensuring correct placement and security.
\n
• Transport baggage and cargo between terminal buildings and aircraft.
\n
• Load and unload aircraft within specified turnaround times.
\n
• Sort baggage and scan baggage tags for flights.
\n
• Load containers and trailers and deliver/collect mail and freight from various airside locations.
\n
• Coordinate with flight crews and ground staff to facilitate efficient aircraft turnaround.
\n
• Manage baggage documentation and tracking to minimise loss or misplacement.
\n
• Conduct safety inspections of baggage carts, trolleys, and ground support equipment.
\n
• Support aircraft marshalling and guide aircraft on the tarmac when required.
\n
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within baggage handling areas.
\n
• Respond promptly to operational issues or emergencies in accordance with established safety procedures.
\n

All duties involve the use of large goods vehicles and specialist ground handling equipment. A strong awareness of health and safety and safe working practices is essential; however, full training will be provided.
