Job Description
BRD Search is working with a growing FMCG business to recruit a FP&A Analyst who will play a key role within the finance function by delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering across the organisation. This role will be pivotal in supporting commercial decision-making, improving reporting capabilities, and driving financial performance.
\nResponsibilities:
\nFinancial Reporting:
\n- \n
- Support the Finance Director in developing and maintaining budgeting and forecasting models, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow. \n
- Produce accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial and commercial reports. \n
- Prepare detailed analysis of revenue, gross profit, operating costs and other key financial metrics. \n
- Investigate significant variances, providing meaningful commentary and recommendations to management. \n
- Produce monthly reporting packs comparing actual performance against budget, forecast and prior periods. \n
- Ensure month-end reporting processes are robust, accurate and completed on time. \n
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards that provide meaningful commercial insights and support decision-making. \n
Budgeting & Forecasting:

- Partner with departmental managers to prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts. \n
- Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, highlighting risks, opportunities and recommended actions. \n
- Support rolling forecasts and ad hoc financial planning as required. \n
Financial Analysis:
\n- \n
- Analyse financial and operational performance to identify trends, risks and opportunities. \n
- Deliver commercial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. \n
- Build financial models to evaluate business performance and future initiatives. \n
Cashflow Management:
\n- \n
- Prepare and report monthly cash flow forecasts. \n
- Monitor cash performance against plans and identify any funding risks or opportunities. \n
Process Improvements & Projects
\n- \n
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve financial planning, reporting and forecasting processes. \n
- Support finance systems implementations and reporting enhancement projects. \n
- Assist in the development of improved reporting tools, dashboards and automation initiatives. \n
Business Partnering:
\n- \n
- Build strong working relationships across the business. \n
- Collaborate with Finance and operational stakeholders to deliver accurate financial information and support commercial initiatives. \n
- Provide financial guidance and analysis to support informed business decisions. \n
Skills & Experience:
\n- \n
- Degree educated with a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). \n
- Strong FP&A, management accounting or commercial finance experience. \n
- Excellent analytical, financial modelling and numerical skills. \n
- Strong commercial awareness with experience working in a fast-paced environment. \n
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial reporting tools. \n
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders. \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. \n
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar. \n
