We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead and optimise our warehouse operations within a fast-paced food distribution environment. This role is pivotal in maintaining efficient stock control, order fulfilment, and logistical efficiency, ensuring compliance and driving operational excellence.
\nDay-to-day of the role:

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management:
\n- \n
- Oversee all warehouse activities, ensuring smooth receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. \n
- Manage stock control processes to ensure inventory accuracy and minimise waste. \n
- Optimise warehouse layout and storage solutions for efficient operations. \n
- Implement and maintain Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for real-time inventory tracking. \n
- Monitor and improve order fulfilment rates, enhancing efficiency and reducing delays. \n

Compliance, Health & Safety, and Quality Standards:
\n- \n
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and food safety standards (BRC, HACCP). \n
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits. \n
- Maintain cleaning and hygiene standards in line with food manufacturing regulations. \n

Warehouse Team Leadership & Development:
\n- \n
- Lead, motivate, and develop the warehouse team to ensure high performance and engagement. \n
- Implement KPIs and performance monitoring to drive accountability and efficiency. \n
- Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. \n

Logistics & Third-Party Supplier Management:
\n- \n
- Collaborate with the Transport team to ensure efficient dispatch and delivery of goods. \n
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, transporters, and other stakeholders. \n

Cost Control & Process Improvement:
\n- \n
- Manage warehouse budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities. \n
- Implement Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce waste. \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:
\n- \n
- Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or stock control within food manufacturing, FMCG, or distribution. \n
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and supply chain management. \n
- Experience in managing warehouse teams and implementing KPIs. \n
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (BRC, HACCP) and health & safety compliance. \n
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software. \n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. \n
