The Opportunity

An established UK bank is looking to add an experienced wealth adviser to its private client team, partnering closely with colleagues who look after business and commercial banking customers. You'll take on a book of affluent and high-net-worth individuals, becoming their go-to person for investment guidance and wider financial planning.

What the Job Involves

• Looking after a portfolio of affluent clients, building relationships that last and encouraging clients to bring more of their banking to you
\n
• Hitting personal growth and service targets while making sure every client interaction feels first-class
\n
• Spotting changes in a client's circumstances or goals and adapting your advice accordingly
\n
• Giving fully regulated advice on investments and financial products
\n
• Staying on top of markets, products and planning strategies so your advice is always current
\n
• Keeping thorough, compliant paperwork and records throughout
\n

Background We're Looking For

\n
• Recent hands-on experience giving regulated investment advice
\n
• Solid grasp of how wealth planning and investment strategy works for wealthier clients
\n
• Wide-ranging knowledge of financial markets, products and the planning industry generally
\n
• Some exposure to risk and controls within a private client, business banking or investment advice setting
\n
• A Level 4 investment qualification as a minimum requirement
\n
• Confident communicator who can build rapport and influence outcomes
\n
• Comfortable working in a business that's constantly evolving
\n
