Job Description
We are recruiting for a Food & Beverage Manager to join a prestigious hotel & restaurant situated just outside of Milton Keynes. Due to location, you would need to be a driver, as there is a lack of transport links. This role does involve weekend working.
\nLocation: Just outside of Milton Keynes, transport (car) necessary.
\nWorking Hours: 5 out of 7 days, including weekends. This will include shift work.
\nContract Type: Perm.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Oversee day-to-day F&B operations (restaurant, bar, banqueting, room service). \n
- Ensure service standards, hygiene & food safety compliance. \n
- Monitor quality of food, beverages & customer service. \n
- Manage opening/closing procedures. \n
- Recruit, train & supervise staff. \n
- Schedule shifts & manage labour costs. \n
- Ensure excellent communication between kitchen & service teams \n
- Develop/execute sales strategies to increase F&B revenue. \n
- Manage budgets, forecasts & profit margins. \n
- Control food/beverage costs (wastage, inventory, supplier pricing). \n
- Analyse financial reports & KPIs (revenue, average spend, margins). \n
- Manage stock levels, ordering & supplier relationships. \n
- Negotiate pricing & contracts. \n
- Ensure proper storage/stock rotation (FIFO). \n
- Identify new business opportunities (events, corporate clients, partnerships). \n
- Drive upselling/cross-selling initiatives. \n
- Plan/promote special offers, seasonal menus & events. \n
- Monitor/improve average check value & customer spend. \n
- Collaborate with marketing teams on campaigns/promotions. \n
- Build relationships with key clients. \n
- Analyse sales trends & adjust pricing/menu strategies accordingly. \n
- Ensure effective use of reservation systems & revenue optimization tools. \n
Requirements & Skills:

- Proven experience in F&B management or hospitality leadership. \n
- Strong understanding of sales, revenue management & cost control. \n
- Leadership & team management skills. \n
- Excellent communication & customer service abilities. \n
- Financial acumen & analytical skills. \n
- Knowledge of food safety regulations. \n
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. \n
- KPIs/Performance Metrics. \n
- Revenue growth (monthly/annual) & knowledge of profit margins. \n
- Ability to drive customer satisfaction scores/reviews. \n
- Handling Staff turnover and productivity. \n

- Experience in running weddings. \n

- Have access to your own transport due to remote location. \n
