Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (flexibility required)

Contract: Full-time, permanent

The role

\n

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of brewery equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our operations.

Key responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the brewery.
  • \n
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
  • \n
  • Respond effectively to equipment breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
  • \n
  • Maintain, repair, and improve brewery and process plant equipment.
  • \n
  • Support continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • \n
  • Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in line with health and safety standards.
  • \n
  • Manage and support external contractors working on site.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • \n

About you

We are looking for someone with a strong engineering background who enjoys problem solving and takes pride in delivering high standards of work.

Essential

\n

  • Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • \n
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • \n
  • Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • \n
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • \n
\n

Desirable

\n
    \n
  • Experience within brewing, food, beverage, FMCG, or process manufacturing environments.
  • \n
  • Electrical qualifications, including 18th Edition.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of brewery or process plant equipment.
  • \n
  • Experience working with pumps, motors, conveyors, filling lines, or control systems.
  • \n
