Legal Cashier

An established and growing law firm is seeking a Legal Cashier to join its finance team based in Cheshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a legal finance professional with at least 12 months' experience in a legal cashiering or legal accounts role to join a supportive and professional environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the firm's financial processes while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

The role is fully office-based and would suit someone who enjoys working closely with colleagues, being part of a collaborative team environment, and taking ownership of their responsibilities.

Working as part of the finance function, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the firm.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing client and office account transactions
\n
• Managing electronic payments, receipts, and bank transfers
\n
• Performing daily bank reconciliations
\n
• Posting financial transactions accurately and efficiently
\n
• Assisting with completion statements and property-related financial transactions where required
\n
• Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
\n
• Processing bills and supporting fee earners with financial queries
\n
• Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting
\n
• Investigating and resolving account discrepancies
\n
• Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
\n
• Liaising with colleagues, clients, and third parties regarding financial matters
\n

The successful candidate will ideally possess:

• A minimum of 1 year's experience within a Legal Cashier or Legal Accounts role
\n
• Good understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
\n
• Experience working with legal accounts systems
\n
• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
