5 Axis CNC Machinist : Days/Nights

Workshop Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering manufacturer producing high-performance composite components for a range of advanced industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a skilled CNC Machinist to their team, with opportunities available on both day and night shifts.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CNC Machinist seeking long-term stability, regular overtime and the chance to work on precision-engineered components in a modern manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines.
\n
• Machine epoxy/PU patterns, fixtures and carbon components.
\n
• Program and edit CNC code for complex, high-precision parts.
\n
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
\n
• Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met.
\n
• Follow SOPs and machining procedures.
\n
• Troubleshoot machining issues and carry out routine machine maintenance.
\n
• Maintain accurate production and tooling records.
\n

Skills & Experience

\n
• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with 5-axis machining.
\n
• Confident programming, setting and operating CNC machinery.
\n
• Strong understanding of machining processes and materials.
\n
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Good communication and teamworking abilities.
\n
• Commitment to safe working practices.
\n
• Flexibility to work overtime when required.
\n

Hours

\n
• Day Shift: Monday to Friday (hours to be confirmed).
\n
• Night Shift: Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts (start time negotiable) with an additional £5.00 per hour shift allowance
