Contract Manager - External Cladding/Facades Remediation Tier 1 Maintenance Contractor Cambridge/Dartford £75-85,000 + car allowance Role Overview We are searching for experienced Contract Manager to lead the delivery of a major cladding and façade remediation project based in Cambridge. Joining a industry leading specialist contractor, you will oversee high-profile residential refurbishment and crucial fire safety works. This is a fantastic opportunity for a experienced contract manager with extensive cladding and facade knowledge to take ownership of a flagship project. Key Responsibilities As the Contract Manager, you will hold full operational and commercial accountability for the project. Your core duties will include: Project Delivery: Take full responsibility for the end-to-end, successful delivery of the cladding remediation project. Operations & Supply Chain: Effectively manage site teams, subcontractors, and the broader supply chain to ensure all works are delivered safely, on time, and strictly within budget. Stakeholder Management: Build, maintain, and nurture strong, professional relationships with clients, local residents, and key stakeholders. Compliance & Health & Safety: Actively monitor the project programme, manage construction risks, and ensure rigorous compliance with Health & Safety (H&S) regulations and strict quality standards. Commercial Management: Oversee the commercial performance of the project, managing variations, cost controls, and final accounts. Leadership & Reporting: Lead and deliver regular progress meetings, provide detailed performance reports to senior management, and support/motivate the site teams to drive high performance. Key Requirements Sector Experience: Proven track record working as a Contract Manager within the external cladding, facade, or major fire safety remediation sectors. Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of modern cladding systems, facade construction, and current fire safety legislation/residential refurbishment frameworks. Flexibility: Be able to commute and commit to the required working arrangements (3 days in Cambridge, 2 days in Dartford). Skills: Exceptional communication skills, commercial astuteness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
