Day-to-day of the role:

\n
    \n
  • Provide person-centred support to individuals within supported housing services.
  • \n
  • Assist service users in accessing essential services such as benefits, healthcare, education, and employment opportunities.
  • \n
  • Complete and update computer records
  • \n
  • Ensure visitor are signed in/out of the venue
  • \n
  • Help clients develop crucial independent living skills, including budgeting, cooking, and managing tenancy agreements.
  • \n
  • Conduct regular welfare checks and maintain detailed and accurate case records.
  • \n
  • Ensure the promotion of safeguarding, health, safety, and wellbeing at all times.
  • \n
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with external agencies, local authorities, and community organisations.
  • \n
  • Support tenants in sustaining their accommodation and reducing the risk of homelessness.
  • \n
  • Respond effectively to challenging situations and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
  • \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in support, housing, care.
  • \n
  • Empathetic, caring, and professional approach to work.
  • \n
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • \n
  • Proficient IT skills and experience in maintaining accurate records.
  • \n
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality principles.
  • \n
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • \n

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care, Housing, or a related field.
  • \n
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of homelessness, tenancy sustainment, mental health, or substance misuse support services.
  • \n
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
  • \n
