Senior Buyer - Dudley - c£40,000

Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be supporting a growing manufacturing business in Dudley that is looking to recruit a Senior Buyer to join their team.

Working Hours / Benefits:

Senior Buyer duties:

\n
• Assessing current procurement and planning practices, identifying gaps against best practice, and designing the processes, controls and documentation the division needs
\n
• Leading the shift from manual, informal ways of working to structured, repeatable processes
\n
• Developing and managing strategic supplier partnerships and leading category negotiations
\n
• Taking hands-on ownership of procurement and inventory management, working closely with operations
\n
• Owning supply and demand planning, building and maintaining manual planning tools such as reorder points, Kanban and spreadsheet-based plans
\n
• Managing supplier performance through regular reviews, challenging on delivery, quality and execution
\n
• Identifying cost savings and formulating annual plans for designated spend categories
\n

The Person

\n
• Significant experience across purchasing and supply chain within a manufacturing environment
\n
• Strong working knowledge of ERP or MRP systems, with substantial hands-on experience in manual supply and demand planning
\n
• Advanced Excel skills
