The Role
\nAn opportunity has arisen for a Finance Officer to join a busy finance team, supporting the efficient delivery of accounts payable and financial processing activities. The successful candidate will ensure invoices, payments, reconciliations and month-end tasks are completed accurately and in line with financial controls and regulatory requirements.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Process supplier invoices, payment requests and credit card transactions. \n
- Manage weekly payment runs, including BACS and urgent payments. \n
- Reconcile supplier accounts and balance sheet control accounts. \n
- Maintain accounts payable records and purchase order systems. \n
- Prepare month-end journals, accruals and prepayments. \n
- Support internal and external audit requirements. \n
- Resolve supplier and internal finance queries. \n
- Administer company credit cards, prepaid cards and petty cash reconciliations. \n
- Ensure compliance with financial procedures, controls and VAT regulations. \n
- Contribute to process improvements and finance automation initiatives. \n
About You
\n- \n
- Previous experience in accounts payable, purchase ledger or a similar finance role. \n
- Strong reconciliation and invoice processing experience. \n
- Good understanding of VAT and financial controls. \n
- Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office skills. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. \n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. \n
- Part-qualified accounting professional or qualified through relevant experience. \n
