We're recruiting on behalf of a successful and expanding firm of Chartered Accountants that continues to invest heavily in its people and technology. With a diverse client portfolio spanning owner-managed businesses, high-growth companies and established SMEs, the firm offers a varied workload and a collaborative working culture.

This position would suit an experienced practice accountant looking to take ownership of client relationships whilst broadening their technical knowledge across accounts, tax and business advisory services.

You'll become a trusted adviser to a portfolio of businesses, supporting clients throughout the financial year rather than simply preparing year-end accounts. Working alongside experienced Managers and Partners, you'll be involved in a wide range of assignments while helping maintain the firm's high standards of client service.

Your day-to-day duties are likely to include:

• Preparing financial statements for a variety of business entities.
\n
• Producing monthly and quarterly financial reports where required.
\n
• Completing corporation tax returns and assisting with other business tax matters.
\n
• Discussing financial performance and technical queries directly with clients.
\n
• Reviewing bookkeeping records and identifying areas requiring attention.
\n
• Supporting advisory projects, including business planning and financial forecasting.
\n
• Providing guidance to trainees and junior members of the team.
\n
• Building strong relationships with clients through regular communication and proactive support.
\n

You'll already have experience working within a UK accountancy practice and be comfortable managing your own workload.

Applications are welcomed from ACA or ACCA qualified accountants, or those nearing qualification, who enjoy working with a varied client base and take pride in delivering an excellent service.

Experience using cloud-based accounting systems and modern practice software would be beneficial, although training can be provided where necessary.
