About the Opportunity\n\nWe are partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Newport to recruit an experienced Head of Human Resources. This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to shape and deliver the people strategy for a dynamic organisation operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
\nReporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will lead the HR function, providing both strategic direction and operational excellence across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This role is ideal for a commercially minded HR leader who enjoys partnering with leaders, driving organisational change, and creating a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Develop and implement the organisation's HR strategy in line with business objectives. \n
- Partner with senior leaders to support organisational growth, workforce planning, and succession planning. \n
- Lead and develop the HR team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused HR service. \n
- Drive employee engagement, culture, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives. \n
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, employment legislation, and HR best practice. \n
- Oversee recruitment and talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain high-calibre employees. \n
- Lead performance management, learning and development, and leadership development programmes. \n
- Support organisational change, restructures, and business transformation projects. \n
- Monitor HR metrics and provide insight to support strategic decision-making. \n
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment legislation and internal policies. \n
The successful candidate will have:

- Significant senior HR leadership experience within a manufacturing, FMCG or similar operational environment. \n
- Proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders. \n
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. \n
- Experience leading organisational change and business transformation initiatives. \n
- Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills. \n
- A pragmatic, commercially focused approach with strong problem-solving abilities. \n
- Experience managing and developing HR teams. \n
- CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent experience) is desirable. \n
