- Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the venue, ensuring efficient and seamless service delivery at all times \n
- Leading from the front during peak trading periods, providing visible leadership and operational support \n
- Delivering exceptional customer service standards and ensuring consistently high levels of guest satisfaction \n
- Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment in line with company standards and regulatory requirements \n
- Managing venue opening and closing procedures and ensuring operational readiness \n
- Completing accurate daily and weekly cash reconciliations and financial administration \n
- Monitoring sales performance, labour expenditure and operational costs to maximise profitability \n
- Analysing key business metrics and implementing initiatives to enhance revenue generation and service standards \n
- Managing stock control procedures, conducting regular stock takes and minimising wastage and discrepancies \n
- Developing strong supplier relationships and overseeing ordering processes \n
- Maintaining excellent cellar standards, including stock rotation, quality control, line cleaning and storage management \n
- Recruiting, training and developing a high-performing front and back-of-house team \n
- Conducting regular coaching sessions, performance reviews and team development activities \n
- Leading team meetings and ensuring all staff receive relevant operational and compliance training \n
- Ensuring full compliance with licensing legislation, food safety requirements and health and safety regulations \n
- Maintaining robust HACCP procedures, food hygiene standards and due diligence documentation \n
- Supporting continuous operational improvements to enhance both customer experience and business performance \n

- Proven experience operating as a General Manager or within a senior management position in the hospitality sector \n
- Strong understanding of pub, bar or hospitality venue operations \n
- Experience managing high-volume customer-facing environments \n
- Excellent leadership, people management and communication skills \n
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and drive profitability \n
- Experience overseeing cash handling, stock management and cellar operations \n
- Sound knowledge of food safety legislation, health and safety requirements and licensing regulations \n
- Understanding of Environmental Health Officer (EHO) standards and compliance expectations \n
- Personal Licence Holder status would be advantageous \n
- Food Safety Level 2 or Level 3 certification would be beneficial \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment \n
- A proactive and hands-on management style with a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences \n
