Job Description
We are supporting a well-established Salisbury employer in recruiting a Sous Chef to join their in-house catering team. The organisation offers staff and visitors complimentary breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea, all freshly prepared on-site in a modern, friendly environment.

\nThe role
\nWorking closely with the Catering Manager, you’ll help deliver a high-quality service across a busy staff restaurant. The menu includes homemade dishes, fresh salads, baked items and deli-style options using seasonal produce. You’ll also have input into menu ideas, including allergy-aware dishes.
\nWhat you’ll be doing
\n• Preparing and baking daily items, fresh salads and hot dishes
\n• Supporting menu development, including allergy-aware recipes
\n• Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation
\n• Ensuring dietary needs are catered for and stock levels are maintained
\n• Leading the kitchen when required, including ordering, budgeting and supporting temp staff
\n• Providing great customer service and responding to feedback
\n• Following food safety, health & safety and allergen procedures
\n• Keeping up to date with training, trends and seasonal ingredients
\nWhat we’re looking for
\n• Experience in a catering or hospitality environment
\n• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
\n• Good understanding of food hygiene, allergens and health & safety
\n• A team player who is organised, proactive and calm under pressure
\n• Flexible, reliable and confident working independently when needed
\n• Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to complete training)
\nHours & location
\n• 37.5 hours per week
\n• Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm
\n• Southampton Road, Salisbury
\n• Occasional flexibility required to support wider business needs
