The Opportunity\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team of a well-established and highly successful organisation based in Chesterfield.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous transactional finance experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive, fast-paced and collaborative business. You'll become part of a close-knit finance team where you'll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities while contributing to the smooth running of the finance function.
The Role\nReporting into the Finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring financial information is processed accurately and efficiently.
\nYour responsibilities will include:

Processing and coding high volumes of purchase invoices accurately.

Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies.
\n - \n
Investigating and resolving supplier invoice queries.
\n - \n
Building strong working relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
\n - \n
Allocating incoming and outgoing payments to customer and supplier accounts.
\n - \n
Assisting with payment runs in line with company procedures.
\n - \n
Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required.
\n - \n
Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring deadlines are consistently met.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Previous experience working within a transactional finance environment.
\n - \n
Strong Purchase Ledger and Accounts Assistant experience.
\n - \n
Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
\n - \n
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
\n - \n
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
\n - \n
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
\n - \n
A proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider finance team.
\n - \n
The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
