Fixed Term Contract | Hybrid Working | Central London | £60,000-£70,000

I'm working with a long-established, highly regarded boutique firm in Marylebone to source an experienced Private Client Tax Manager for an interim assignment of approximately 3 months, with potential to extend.

\n

The Opportunity

\n

A well-respected 7-partner firm with approximately 60 staff is looking for an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to provide cover during a period of planned absence within the team. The assignment is expected to commence imminently, covering August and potentially part of July and/or September.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced private client tax professional looking for a high-quality interim role with a firm that punches well above its weight in terms of client complexity and advisory exposure.

This well-established firm is based in Marylebone, and has built an exceptional reputation advising entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses and HNW/UHNW private clients. Despite its boutique size, the quality and complexity of work is outstanding.

The Role

\n

Stepping into an experienced Private Client team of ~12, you'll manage a portfolio of private clients including UHNW and HNW individuals, entrepreneurs, non-domiciled clients, and families with international wealth structures.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing your own varied portfolio of private clients across compliance and advisory assignments
  • \n
  • Acting as a main point of contact for client queries
  • \n
  • Reviewing self-assessment tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and trusts
  • \n
  • Advising on complex personal tax matters including non-long-term residents, offshore trusts, IHT, and estate planning
  • \n
  • Liaising with HMRC and third parties to ensure smooth delivery
  • \n
  • Providing guidance and support to junior colleagues and trainees
  • \n
  • Reporting to Directors and Partners
  • \n

  • Non-domiciled and internationally mobile clients

  • Multi-generational family wealth structures
  • \n
  • Media, entertainment, and arts clients (royalties, IP income)

  • Offshore trusts and estates
  • \n

What You'll Need:

    \n
  • CTA qualified (or equivalent)
  • \n
  • Strong UK personal tax background at Manager level or above
  • \n
  • Experience with non-domiciled clients and/or trusts highly desirable
  • \n
  • IHT and probate experience advantageous
  • \n
  • Confident managing client relationships independently
  • \n
  • Familiar with CCH (advantageous but not essential)
  • \n
  • Available at short notice (immediate or near-immediate start preferred)
  • \n
