JR329 - Trainee Field Engineer (Refrigeration)Location: Scotland (Dumfries and Galloway area)Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 Per Annum + Company vehicle + BonusWorking Hours: Monday - Friday - 40 hour working week.Overview:First Military Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer on behalf of the UK’s largest manufacturer of medical & scientific refrigeration. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to join a well established company with an excellent opportunity of career advancement.You will be responsible for the maintenance, UKAS calibration, and repair of medical refrigeration equipment, including: Pharmacy fridges and freezers, Blood fridges, Plasma freezers, Monitoring systems.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical and laboratory refrigeration equipment.
\n
• Work independently and efficiently while representing the company professionally.
\n
• Accurately record work completed, travel and labour times, and expenses, submitting job reports daily.
\n
• Maintain company-provided van, tools, stock levels, and equipment in line with company policy.
\n
• Plan and prioritise work based on office scheduling, raising any potential delays early.
\n
• Ensure confidentiality on all customer sites, following GDPR principles.
\n

Skills and Qualifications:

\n
• Full UK driving licence – essential.
\n
• Self-motivated, well organised, and able to work independently.
\n
• Previous field service experience desirable (but not essential).
\n
• F-Gas qualification desirable (but not essential).
\n
• Strong communication skills with neat and accurate handwriting.
\n
• Basic English, Maths and IT skills are required.
\n
