Location: NR29Hours: Rotating Shifts

- Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm \n
- Week 2: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pmContract: Temporary to Permanent \n
We are currently recruiting for a Glass Production Operative on behalf of our client based in the NR29 area.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist manufacturing business producing high-quality glass products for a range of industries.
\nThe successful candidate will receive full training across various areas of the production process, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Glass Cutting – Transfer CAD data and optimise nesting layouts to maximise material utilisation and accurately cut components from glass sheets. \n
- Glass Grinding – Load CAD data, programme, and operate glass edge grinding machinery to achieve the required finish and specification. \n
- Glass Toughening – Train and operate specialist in-house bending and toughening processes, including flat glass furnaces, press-bent toughening plants, and sagged-bending furnaces. \n
- Glass Printing – Operate printing equipment to apply detailed designs and markings to glass prior to the toughening process. \n
- Manufacture glass products to a consistently high quality standard. \n
- Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure products meet customer specifications. \n
- Safely handle, lift, and manoeuvre glass components throughout the production process, using mechanical lifting equipment where required. \n
- Conduct quality checks and follow all company procedures and standards. \n
- Support other production activities and undertake additional duties as required. \n

- Previous manufacturing, production, engineering, or glass processing experience would be advantageous but is not essential. \n
- Willingness to learn specialist machinery and production processes. \n
- Ability to follow instructions and work to detailed specifications. \n
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality. \n
- Physically capable of handling glass products safely. \n
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work rotating shifts. \n
- Strong team-working skills and a positive attitude. \n
