About the Role

We are seeking a friendly, organised, and professional Receptionist to join our healthcare team across our Surrey sites. As the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of reception services.

\n

Full training will be provided, along with opportunities for ongoing development within a supportive healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

    \n
  • Provide a warm and professional welcome to patients, visitors, and staff.
  • \n
  • Manage front-of-house reception duties across multiple sites.
  • \n
  • Answer telephone enquiries, resolve patient queries, and direct calls appropriately.
  • \n
  • Book appointments, issue confirmations, and send reminders.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate patient records and complete electronic filing of correspondence and results.
  • \n
  • Process patient referrals and bookings using the Patient Administration System.
  • \n
  • Liaise with GP surgeries and healthcare professionals regarding patient information and test results.
  • \n
  • Support appointment scheduling to minimise missed or cancelled appointments.
  • \n
  • Assist patients and visitors as required, including escorting them to clinics or wards.
  • \n
  • Open and close sites when rostered for early, late, or Saturday shifts.
  • \n
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure the efficient operation of services.
  • \n
  • Undertake any additional duties appropriate to the role.

Requirements

Essential

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • \n
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment.
  • \n
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • \n
  • Flexibility to work across Epsom and Cobham sites.
  • \n
  • Availability to work shifts between 7:00am and 7:00pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays.
  • \n
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • \n

  • Previous reception, administration, or healthcare experience.
  • \n
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and healthcare procedures.
  • \n
  • Full driving licence and access to transport.
  • \n
