We are seeking a Professional Support Lawyer to play a strategic role in shaping technical excellence and driving consistency in legal delivery across a broad range of matters including wills, trusts, estate planning, and contentious probate.
\nDay-to-day of the role:

Knowledge Management & Technical Support:\n
- \n
- Draft, maintain, and develop precedents, templates, and guidance notes. \n
- Manage and enhance the team’s know-how repository. \n
- Provide legal research and technical support on complex matters. \n
- Act as a key sounding board on trusts, estates, and contentious probate issues. \n
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments, including tax and probate reforms, and share updates. \n
- Promote consistency in legal drafting and approach across the team. \n

Training & Development:\n
- \n
- Identify and address training needs within the team. \n
- Design and deliver training programmes and legal updates. \n
- Support trainee development and induction. \n
- Develop and manage the team’s Learning & Development plan. \n
- Keep colleagues informed on legislative and procedural changes. \n

Business Development & Client Engagement:\n
- \n
- Support client briefings, seminars, and events. \n
- Contribute to pitches, proposals, and marketing materials. \n
- Develop thought leadership and legal insights. \n
- Assist with client-facing training initiatives. \n

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:\n
- \n
- Support the team’s innovation strategy. \n
- Identify opportunities to improve processes (e.g., probate and trust administration workflows). \n
- Promote effective use of legal technology and knowledge systems. \n
- Champion a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. \n

Collaboration & Strategy:\n
- \n
- Work closely with the Private Wealth team and wider firm knowledge network. \n
- Collaborate with other practice areas including tax, property, and dispute resolution. \n
- Support departmental strategy and knowledge initiatives. \n
- Encourage integration between contentious and non-contentious teams. \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:
\n- \n
- 6+ PQE in Private Client law. \n
- Current PSL/Knowledge Lawyer or an experienced fee earner seeking a transition. \n
- Strong expertise in wills, trusts, estate planning, and contentious probate. \n
- Experience in Court of Protection and trust administration (desirable). \n
- Excellent legal drafting, research, and communication skills. \n
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. \n
- Commercially aware with a strong understanding of client needs. \n
- Proactive, collaborative, and passionate about knowledge sharing. \n
