Job Description
Our client is seeking a compassionate and proactive Housing Support Worker to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This role offers the chance to make a real difference by providing empathetic support, practical advice, and person-centred guidance to individuals moving from crisis towards stability. As a Housing Support Worker, you wil be providing direct support to those that are homeless or at the threat of homelessness. The role:\n

- Provide non-judgemental, empathetic support via phone, email and face-to-face contact. \n
- Carry out client assessments, identifying needs, risks and opportunities. \n
- Support clients with housing benefit, welfare and other entitlements. \n
- Develop and deliver person-centred support plans. \n
- Liaise with accommodation providers and partner services to secure safe housing. \n
- Promote access to health, wellbeing and community resources. \n
- Maintain accurate case records and apply safeguarding policies where necessary. \n

- Strong communication and empathy skills. \n
- Ability to engage people in distress with patience and resilience. \n
- Knowledge of housing and welfare systems (or willingness to learn). \n
- Organised, collaborative and committed to strengths-based support. \n
