Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Newton AycliffeSalary: £41,500 per annumShift Pattern: 3 Shift Rotation (Monday-Friday)

A leading manufacturing business based in Newton Aycliffe is looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its established engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically or mechanically biased engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance to ensure maximum machine uptime.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
\n
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and minimise downtime.
\n
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
\n
• Work on continuous improvement projects to increase reliability and efficiency.
\n
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
\n
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
\n
• Support production to maximise plant performance.
\n

\n
• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or Engineering Qualification (NVQ Level 3/C&G or equivalent).
\n
• Multi-skilled with electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
\n
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
\n
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
\n
• PLC fault-finding experience would be advantageous.
\n
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n

• Salary of £41,500.
