Import Clerk Solihull Full-Time (Including Rotational Sundays) £26,000 – £30,000 per annumWe are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Import Clerk to join our growing team in Solihull. This role involves managing the full import process from initial quotation through to final invoicing, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, compliantly, and delivered on time.Key Skills & ExperienceExperience using CDS to complete import customs clearancesPrevious experience with ASM Sequoia is advantageous, but not essentialStrong organisational and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple shipments and deadlines effectivelyKey ResponsibilitiesDocumentation & CompliancePrepare, review, and process all import documentation, including air waybills, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin. Ensure all shipments comply with customs regulations and relevant tax requirements.Customs ClearanceCoordinate customs clearance activities to ensure the smooth and timely release of goods. Manage Duty and VAT payments where required.Freight CoordinationWork closely with our global network and transport providers to arrange freight movements from the shipper through to final delivery at the customer’s premises.Customer ServiceAct as the main point of contact for customers, providing regular shipment updates and resolving any issues or delays promptly and professionally.AdministrationCreate and maintain accurate job files, prepare quotations and invoices, and ensure all records and documentation are up to date.About YouExcellent attention to detailStrong administrative and organisational abilitiesConfident communicator with good customer service skillsKnowledge of import procedures and customs regulationsAble to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
