An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a busy and well-established Family Law team in Derby.

This is a rare opportunity for a motivated Family Lawyer to join a respected and growing practice, handling a varied caseload of private and publicly funded Family Law matters.

If you are looking for a Family Solicitor job in Derby where you can manage your own caseload, conduct advocacy, and provide direct client advice, this role offers both autonomy and strong team support.

The Role

You will work alongside an experienced and supportive Family Law team and will be expected to manage your own caseload of family law matters from the outset using your previous experience.

Your caseload will include:

• Divorce and financial remedy matters
\n
• Private children law disputes
\n
• Public children proceedings
\n
• Domestic abuse applications
\n
• Care proceedings
\n
• Advocacy at Family Court hearings
\n
• Direct client advice and representation
\n

Previous experience in legally aided family law work is highly desirable.

This role would suit a confident Family Solicitor or CILEx-qualified Fee Earner who is comfortable handling files independently while contributing positively to a collaborative department.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or qualified CILEx
\n
• Strong background in Family Law
\n
• Court advocacy experience
\n
• Experience advising clients directly across all aspects of Family Law
\n
• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
\n
• Experience in Legal Aid Family work (desirable)
\n
• Excellent client care and communication skills
\n
